Local Rules
These rules are in addition to the local rules of the various golf courses that we play

Plugged Balls
You may lift and clean your
ball if it is plugged in it’s own pitch
mark, through the green which does
not include bunkers and hazards.
Bunkers.
You may remove stones
only, but not twigs or
leaves etc. You can receive a free
drop in the bunker if your ball is in a wash away, due to heavy rain or flooding.
Ants
There will be no free drop if your ball lands
on or near to ants – this is not covered by the rules of golf.
Score Cards
Score Cards are to be marked by one of your
playing opponents not a caddie, any alterations should be initialized by the marker of the
card.
Can you also give your score card to the
collector after you have completed your round of golf, before you shower please
Groove around greens.
There is, on some golf
courses, notably at Springfield, a groove around the green which separates the two different
grasses (do not confuse this with being the edge of the green) if a ball ‘settles’ in this
groove, you will be allowed to ‘pick and place’ within 6 inches (150mm) no nearer to the hole
without penalty.
Lake View
(A,B,C &D courses) - Pick & Place to be
allowed on fairways for all competitions.
All Courses - Divots
Any ball coming to rest
on the fairway in a sand filled divot - relief can be obtained. Relief: lift, clean and drop
within one club length, no nearer to the hole.
Reminders
Your caddie is allowed to mark
your ball on the putting green; it is your responsibility to ensure that it is marked correctly
(i.e. directly behind the ball not 3 balls in front or to the side)
