This year the Captain’s cup was held on the 26^th July. We had 37 competitors, split in to 3 divisions, and an overall winner. A special thanks to Peter Bakker for supplying these photos.

We also had separate near pins for Ladies and Gents.

The near pin on hole 4 was so close that it went in the hole, an excellent hole in one for Darryl Gumm.

Usually, the Golf Society would pay for beer but in this case the beer was supplied as part of the Captain’s day,

so – the hole in one celebration will be held at  a later date. Pictured right is Darryl celebrating with Berny.

All division winners won cash, a green fee voucher for Springfield, and a bottle of wine.

The winner of Division 3 was Fred Ward, pictured right, with 38 points.

 

 

 

The winner of Division 2 was Harvey Russell, pictured below, also with 38 points

 

 

 

 

 

 

And the winner of Division 1 was Kieron, pictured right, with 40 points.

 

 

 

 

However, the overall winner, and winner of the Captains Cup 2022 was  Olivier Pinard, with a score of 41 points, He is seen below with Berny, being presented with the trophy.  Well played,  Olivier.
