The Annual Hua Hin Golf Society Christmas Charity Scramble was held at Banyan Golf Club on the 20^th December 2022.

We were limited to 10 tee times, as this year all the courses were very busy with other Christmas and charity events. We still managed to get 10 teams playing – thanks to all who participated.

This year, we had a nearest the pin in 3 shots on the 3^rd hole, nearest the pin in 2 on the 13^th hole, near pins on all par 3’s for Ladies and Gents, and also long drives for Ladies and Gents. For the par 3 prizes, there were hats from the Bright Dawn Foundation, for the near pin in 3 on the 3^rd hole there were green fee vouchers donated by Majestic Creek Golf Club, for nearest the pin in two on the 13^th hole there were 500 baht vouchers donated by Laciana by the Sea, and for the Ladies and Gents long drives, Daddy Deli donated 1,000 baht vouchers.

Johannes Arvin also kindly donated one Ladies plus one Gents Obaku watches. These were auctioned off by our sweet-talking auctioneer, Eric Taylor. The proceeds of the auction raised 13,000 Baht and this was added to the total made on the day.

Just before the auction, two of our Ladies, Piyawan and Mod went round with the Bright Dawn donation box, and managed to encourage our members to donate an additional 26,300 Baht. Pictured below are the Ladies in action!

But coming back to the main event. As usual all the scores can be found in Master Scoreboard. Mike Staples from the Bright Dawn Foundation attended the presentation, and kindly presented the prizes to the participants.

In 4^th place, winning green fee vouchers from Springfield were Janne, Sari, Elina and Seppo with a score of 58, they received green fee vouchers from Springfield from Mike.

In third place, with a net score of 57, receiving a bottle of wine and Springfield green fee vouchers each were Ray, Padraig, Kieron and Dewey.

In Second place, with a net score of 56, receiving a bottle of wine, and a voucher worth 1150 Baht from Be Well were Meow, Ken, Ryan (The Wilkie Family) and Eric.

The overall winners, winning on countback with a net score of 56, receiving a bottle of wine along with a green fee voucher for Banyan were Ann, Tarn, Tim and Fred.

On the day we managed to raise 56,250 Baht, and that along with the 10% we have been donating from all cmpetition fees, 66080 Baht gives us a total of 122,030 Baht to be donated to the Bright Dawn Foundation. Well done to all involved.
