On the evening of the 4^th November, Anders kindly hosted a dinner at Prime Restaurant for the Hua Hin Golf Society. Around 50 members and guests attended, and all enjoyed the food.

During the evening, we presented the prizes for the Monthly Medal, which was held at Springfield that day. In C Group, the winner was David Buchan, with a net score of 69, B group winner was Tim Dixon, with a net score of 72, and the winner of A group, was Keith Etherington, with a net 69. Pictured below is Tim and David receiving their prizes.

The overall winner of the Monthly Medal was Dicky Bird, who unfortunately could not attend the social evening. Here the medal is presented to the audience.

During the evening, we also presented prizes for the Eclectic competitions and the low season order of merit.

For the Royal Hua Hin eclectic, Peter Adams was the winner with 60 points. The Palm Hills Eclectic was won by Hans Van de Voort with 54 points, and the Banyan Eclectic was won by Fred Ward with 55 points. All are pictured below receiving their prizes.

The evening continued with presenting the order of merit prizes. This year’s order of merit was decided by the best 6 Stableford scores from April until the end of October.

Again we had 3 divisions, and the winner of division 3 was Peter Adams, with a total of 233 points. In division 2, Fed Ward came in first with a total of 227 points, and in division 1, Harvey Russell came in first with a total of 230 points.

However, the overall winner with 238 points was Piyawan, seen here picking up the prize money.

All prize winners for the summer competitions played with us on a regular basis, and Piywan’s achievement of winning the order of merit is notable, especially with her low handicap.
